This isn't my story but my mothers. She has shared this with me many many times over the years.

She used to work in a nursing home in the laundry. Well, as you can imagine, nursing homes have many people die in them. So it is not surprising that a place like that could be haunted.

Ok, I'm going to try this over again since the forum had "hiccups" and my post disappeared. Hmmmm!

When I was in the fourth grade there was a house just down the street from where we lived. No one ever saw anyone come in or go out of that old house so we just assumed it was vacant. Especially after repeated tries from us brave kids who wanted to be in the know.

After a while we got tired of knocking on the doors all the time and started hanging out in the back yard. ...

Oldfield Street, a duplex built around 100 years ago. The bathrooms still have the clawfoot tubs and the small oldfashined sinks.

A house my partner and I fell in love with and decided to try and buy. We had thought about renting the other side, however that thought failed. So we opened her up and made it into one big house.

In the living room there once stood the old fashinoned pillars with a wde opening. However this house was not made for the eletronic age. We needed room for our tv,sterios, vcr ...

The House on Holbrook

I've never encountered an actual spirit, but, my first husband and I rented a house on Holbrook Avenue in Bessemer, AL, shortly after we were married. It was an older home that was somewhat of a modified shotgun house - the front door opened into the livingroom, the door from the living room lead into the bedroom, the bedroom door lead into the kitchen, and the bath was off the kitchen.

The back wall of the living room was covered in mirrored, glass squares while the rest of the room ...

I have had many experiences in my life. However I want to start with my scariest of all.

My partner and I and her three boys, were about to become homeless. We were staying with some friends on a military base. The rule was we could only be there for three weeks. We had four days left to find a place to live.

Our credit was real bad so even though we had the money, finding one was not that easy.

We came across a three-bedroom two-bath town house in Bremerton WA.. The placed looked nice ...

Here goes. In 1969 I and my then husband moved to St. Paul, Minnesota to take over the house that his parents had lived in. His dad died from being an alcohol and his mother died in the house from a brain tumor quite suddenly I might add.

This house was a true horror from the day we moved in until the day we left at least for me. It was over 150 years old. It was a 2 story house with 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs. It had the old steam type heating and all the rooms were quite ...
